:: Baseball Mother's Day ::

...is there a more perfect way for me to celebrate? I think not! My son and I spent the day at Camden Yards and it was almost perfect. I say almost because the O's didn't win, but they made it close and exciting. We're so used to going to games and being part of a 12,000 person crowd...no huge lines to get in, no long waits for food, bathroom fairly empty. Sunday was different. We left the house WAY early for what we normally do but because there were so many people there, we waited in line at Will Call for at least 45 minutes. It was hot and uncomfortable and I was so happy that finally, FINALLY people are starting to show up. Nearly 30,000 people filled the stands. This team feels like something special. Because we've been here long enough to experience the severe downs of the O's, we're taking advantage of the ups. We know it may not last but boy is it fun while it's happening.

Let's Go O's!!

our starting pitcher, Jake Arrieta

RF Nick Markakis

2B Robert Andino

Chris Davis

Nick Markakis (sporting the pink cleats for Mother's Day)

Here comes the wave!

Robert Andino with the perfect throw from our catcher Matt Wieters...unfortunately the ump didn't see it the same way EVERYONE else did and called him safe

CF Adam Jones

Nick Markakis (can you tell he's one of my faves??)

Matt Wieters

Robert Andino

Pitcher Darren O'Day...he pitches side arm...kind of strange to watch

Ryan Flaherty

Adam Jones

two of Baltimore's favorites...Adam Jones and Nick Markakis

Ryan Flaherty...it's fun watching him because he's a rookie so everything he does is his first in the major leagues. We actually saw him get his first hit a few weeks ago. Pretty exciting.
