These two are simply amazing. I am so honored to be able to photograph their beautiful little faces. Back in early June, little {E} was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 5. I can't even fathom being thrown into the depths of cancer myself, but to have your child fighting this awful disease is just too much. How do you function? How do you put one foot in front of the other and not have the world collapse around you? Somehow this amazing family has not only fought back hard against this illness, but they have managed to pick the rest of us up along with them. Their strength inspires me. {A} is not only a big sister, but a best friend and probably {E}'s best medicine. They truly are extraordinary together. While the prognosis is good, it will still be a long road for this entire family. {E} will endure 3 years of chemotherapy to make sure that this will be the last time cancer invades her life. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
