Okay, so unfortunately it didn't go that way yesterday, but oh what an event! My husband is a West Point grad...something that strikes a sense of pride in me (along with many other things that he's accomplished). He has not been to an Army/Navy game since he was a cadet and I have never been. So when an old Army buddy emailed saying he had two extra tickets we jumped at the chance. It's good to have friends in high places!! What an amazing time we had. Not only did we get to watch the game from a suite (highly recommend that!), but we got to catch up with old friends...doesn't get any better than that.
There is something about seeing these kids in their uniforms that is just so awe inspiring. They have chosen to take the road less traveled...to not only get one of the best educations in the country, but to then serve that country as a debt of gratitude. They are admirable to say the least. So here are a few shots of our fantastic day...the only thing that would have made it better is if Army had showed up to play some football!!!

Wow, what cool pictures. I especially like the one of them cadets in line and the trumpet...LOVE THEM. And, YAY! There's a picture of you and J looking SO good. They really are amazing pictures, and I'm so glad that you were able to go (sorry that Army forgot how to play, but...)...kicking the ball, flying down...all the pictures are so cool. Each time I see a new one it still gets to me, because you're just so great.
