a senior moment....

...no, I didn't forget anything...well, yet anyway. A different senior moment....one with an absolutely gorgeous high school senior. I don't know how I get so lucky to photograph such beautiful people, but I'm not complaining!!! Not only is she fantastic, but her family is as well -- BONUS! {L} is a horse lover and has been since she was little, so it was only fitting that we head to a horse farm to shoot her pictures. What an amazing experience! With the help of my trusty assistant (my sister) I think we captured some pretty spectacular moments. Here is your preview {H} family. Thank you so much for a wonderful day. ENJOY!

so, a horse walks into a bar and the bartender says "why the long face?"
at least the horse thinks I'm funny!

sunday, sunday, sunday...

...is not a good day for an Orioles fan! I do believe that the Orioles are leading the league with consecutive losses on the same day of the week --- you guessed it, our lucky day is Sunday. It's so bad that they're practically bribing people to come to Sunday games. So we went. The deal was that if they won today's game everyone who attended would get 2 free tickets for future games. Not a bad deal...if they could freakin' win! But, alas, not today. Not only did they lose, but it was 96 degrees at the start of the game! Thankfully we were in the shade for the entire game, otherwise it would have been completely unbearable. Anyway, here are a few shots from our day at lovely Camden Yards. Actually, it's a fantastic park...you should go sometime if you haven't already.

me & my boy...who looks like one big hat today
winning pitcher, Justin Verlander -- pretty impressive -- he went 8 2/3 innings
and our not so winning pitcher, Brian Burress
can you imagine having to lug that around in the heat???
the O's Luke Scott in a run down with Pudge Rodriguez...didn't turn out so well for Luke
anyone who has seen Major League will appreciate this one...O's fans are willing to try just about anything to bring on a Sunday win...even calling on good ole Jobu
center fielder Jay Payton
I'll bet you were unaware of the fact that John Travolta has taken time off from the big screen to work as the Bird in Baltimore

one fish two fish...

...red fish blue fish. Have you guessed it??? Yes, we went to the aquarium yesterday. Me, my son, my best friend and her son...an adventure I tell ya! Baltimore has such a fantastic aquarium...I highly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance. It's very dark in there but I think I got some decent shots. You decide...

how funny is this ?! I swear I didn't Photoshop him in...it's just how the picture turned out
my wonderful boy
I imagine that he's a whistling fish
these little guys didn't even look real...they just perch...very cute
it's not easy being green!
{N} was definitely mesmerized in the rainforest
one of these things is not like the others
doesn't his nose remind you of a mole?
way too cute to be poisonous...right?

I thought this flower was pretty interesting
And this is for all of you parents out there of young children...eventually they will be old enough! I promise!!!

in a new york minute...

...everything changes. My little sister has flown the coop. I went to NY over the weekend to see {L} off as she starts a new chapter in her life. She's decided that the California sun was more inviting than the New York gloom. She's starting graduate school this fall...smarty pants! We're all really proud of her and hope that she gets a REALLY good job so that she can support us all :) The added bonus of the weekend was getting to spend time with the rest of the family. I miss them already!

{L} and her boyfriend...he'll be joining her out there in no time!
and she's off...
look at how big my nephew is getting!
seriously, isn't he SO cute?!?!
and of course, {C}, who HATES to have her picture taken

Otis & Rambo...

...are such great dog names! You will remember Otis from the previous post, but Rambo is a new one. He lives on the other side of us and he is FEROCIOUS! Don't be too scared...he won't jump through the screen at you or anything like that. Just be glad you don't have to meet him in a dark alley. Anyway, we were just out playing with the neighborhood poochies when they decided on posing for a photo shoot. I hope that this finds everyone enjoying their 4th of July...we're hoping for the thunderstorms to hold off! Happy 4th!!

doesn't this remind you of "Dogs Playing Poker"?

Otis looks ready for a big date!
Are you scared??? THIS is Rambo...great name!

summer sun...

...is always so beautiful! I realize that the last two posts have been sun related, but that's what summer is about, isn't it??? The light was particularly beautiful one evening so I grabbed my son and made him pose in it. You can imagine his excitement about that! They're not the best pictures of him, but I do like the light. The other two are the "kids" of our friends next door. They're pretty darn cute!

I made a deal with him that if he cut his hair for my sister's wedding I'd let him grow it out over the summer...within reason. I'm about ready for a trim...of course he thinks it's perfect!
okay, he looks like he's not thrilled, but how pretty is that light?
Meet Tater...the princess next door
and Otis...the name explains it all
